You can usually find Tim at one of multiple haunted properties that are a part of a charity based initiative known as S.T.O.P. (Saving the Old Properties Inc). A nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of historic buildings, to tell the stories of these amazing buildings, and to instill pride in their past. Tim can often be found either mowing, cleaning up inside the buildings, making any necessary repairs and general maintenance, or haunting the hallways in a live walkthrough, haunted tour, or paranormal investigation.
In addition to his time caretaking to these historic and haunted locations, he OF COURSE, has many stories to share about the Randolph County Infirmary & Asylum in Winchester, IN! ABOUT THE RANDOLPH COUNTY ASYLUM
The Randolph County the Asylum / Infirmary is known in the paranormal community as a building whose dark wards are filled with spirits and a plethora of paranormal activity. Many of the residents of this historical building have never left and continue to make their presence known both day and night.
TV Shows like Paranormal Lockdown have filmed there. Many movies have also been filmed in its halls. Reports from guests tell of spirits of young children and older adults continuing to roam the hallways and kitchen to this day. The EVPs and personal experiences are rarely disappointing for those brave enough to investigate its hallowed hallways.
Located just outside Winchester, Indiana -- The current Asylum/Infirmary was built in 1899 on the original foundation of the 1851 Infirmary. The current building is the third building built as the Asylum/Infirmary at this location. The original farm burned to the ground in 1854. The second building was built, but after three short decades in operation, it had to be razed due to poor craftsmanship and living conditions. As with many impoverished farms in this time, almshouses, sanatoriums, asylums, county farms, and nursing homes, the purpose was to provide housing, medical care, and essential needs for the county's sick, retired, indigent, poor, and injured. The major function of the Infirmary of course was to contain epidemic illnesses, as well as, house individuals thought to be mentally unstable and indigent.
The Randolph County Asylum/Infirmary was purchased in 2015, and restoration efforts began immediately. The beauty and history of this beloved building are currently enjoyed by a menagerie of visitors weekly. The County Asylum attracts photographers, filmmakers, producers, wedding planners, school field trips, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, colleges, and charitable event organizers.
The Randolph County Infirmary & Asylum has been investigated by some of the most well-known investigators and television programs. Nick Groff's Paranormal Lockdown, Dakota & Chelsea Laden, and Tanner Wiseman's Destination FEAR, and Chip Coffey, Amy Bruni, and Adam Berry's Kindred Spirits -- are just some of the top shows to roam the halls!
